SeoulTech Sends 28 Student Supporters to Smart Life Week 2026

Twenty-eight SeoulTech students will take on frontline roles at Smart Life Week 2026, an international event focused on artificial intelligence and the future of smart cities.

The event will run at Seoul’s COEX from Oct. 6 to 8. Co-hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the World Smart Cities Organization, and organized by the Seoul AI Foundation, it will combine exhibitions, conferences and business programs examining how AI can shape urban life.

The students received appointments at an Aug. 27 launch ceremony and completed preparatory training in event procedures and visitor services. During the event, they will interpret for overseas city delegations and speakers, guide buyers and other participants, help run the venue and produce promotional content for online channels.

SeoulTech said the experience will give students direct contact with officials and participants from cities around the world. It also links their international communication and event-response skills with practical exposure to AI applications intended to address urban problems and improve residents’ quality of life.

The supporter program represents the first tangible result of the university’s memorandum with the Seoul AI Foundation. The two organizations are also pursuing AI talent development, joint research and development based on public data, and a regional cooperation platform. Kim Dong-ho, head of SeoulTech’s ANCHOR project group, said, “Smart Life Week 2026 is a meaningful opportunity for students to experience the field of AI-based urban innovation directly and develop global capabilities.”
