Serbia buys Chinese 'robot dogs' for military drills

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced that the country has purchased "robot dogs" from the Chinese company Minth. These advanced machines are set to be showcased in upcoming Serbian Army exercises within the next 15 days.

Vučić emphasized the rigorous testing these robots will undergo, requiring at least 100 hours of movement data before they can be integrated into military units. "We must check at least 100 hours of movement before we can let it enter our army unit, because there can be no mistakes there, and you will see in practice that there are no mistakes," he stated at the opening of Serbia's first humanoid robot factory in Šabac.

These robots are designed to operate "very serious weaponry." Vučić revealed that Serbian experts have integrated software to control these weapons remotely, enabling them to deliver significant strikes against enemy forces and personnel. "Our experts have linked software and created weapons that we control from a great distance and which are capable of significant strikes against enemy forces and enemy manpower, you will see for yourselves in a few days," he announced.

The new factory in Šabac aims to assemble, and later produce, over 5,000 robots annually. Vučić expressed hope that this venture will create numerous jobs and position Serbia as a pioneer in Europe for the serial production of humanoid robots. The knowledge gained, he added, could be shared across the region and the continent. Additionally, Vučić announced plans to sign an agreement for a battery factory in Inđija on Monday.
