Serbia: Explosive remnants of war to be destroyed in Šabac on Monday

The Ministry of Interior's Sector for Emergency Situations has announced a controlled destruction of explosive remnants of war in the Šabac region of Serbia. The operation is scheduled for Monday, July 13, and is expected to occur between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at a designated secure location.

A specialized team from the Ministry will carry out the destruction of the discovered and reported explosive materials. Strict safety and protection measures will be implemented to safeguard people, property, and the environment. The Ministry emphasized that local police units will be responsible for securing any explosive remnants found prior to their disposal.

This action is part of ongoing efforts to clear areas of dangerous ordnance left over from past conflicts, ensuring public safety and enabling the land to be used without risk.
