Serbia Raises Fees for Driver’s Licenses, Vehicle Documents and Plates

Serbia’s government has adopted an amendment to the regulation governing Interior Ministry services and the fees charged for them. The new amounts will apply from Sept. 12, according to the Official Gazette, as reported by RTS.

Producing a driver’s license will cost 444 dinars, while a probationary driver’s license will cost 468 dinars. A vehicle registration certificate will cost 858 dinars, and a temporary registration certificate will cost 60 dinars. Registration stickers for domestic and foreign use will cost 342 dinars each.

A pair of license plates for heavy quadricycles, passenger cars, buses, trolleybuses and trucks will cost 1,380 dinars. Duplicates for those vehicles will cost 2,730 dinars. Personalized plates for historic vehicles, or oldtimers, will cost 13,344 dinars per pair, as will a personalized special rear plate for an oldtimer. Plates marked “TX” for taxi vehicles will cost 1,380 dinars.

For motorcycles, heavy tricycles, mopeds, light tricycles and light quadricycles, one plate will cost 696 dinars. A pair of plates for tractors and work machines will cost 960 dinars, while a plate for a trailer will cost 780 dinars. Temporary cardboard “Proba” plates will cost 462 dinars per pair, and a pair of red motor-vehicle plates will cost 1,380 dinars.

The changes also cover some private-security and firearms documents. A private-security officer’s identification card and a detective’s identification card will each cost 1,020 dinars. A firearms license with an embedded microcontroller and a permit to carry a weapon will each cost 1,080 dinars, while a collector’s permit will cost 360 dinars. The 1,920-dinar fee for an identity card issued to a person granted asylum will apply from Oct. 1.
