Serbia's Blood Reserves Critically Low, Institute Appeals for Donations

The National Blood Transfusion Institute of Serbia has issued an urgent appeal for blood donations, citing significantly reduced reserves. The institute is calling on all healthy adults to contribute by donating blood.

Citizens can donate at the Institute's premises in Belgrade on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mobile donation units are also available. A transfusion bus will be located outside the Barajevo Cultural Center on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. On Thursday, donations can be made at the Red Cross in Obrenovac from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Further mobile donation opportunities include a bus outside the "Delta City" shopping center and the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Vidikovac on Saturday, August 15th, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., respectively. On Sunday, the transfusion bus will be stationed outside "Imo Centar" in New Belgrade from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
