Serbian Blood Transfusion Institute Organizes Blood Drives for World Blood Donor Day

In observance of World Blood Donor Day on June 14, the Serbian Blood Transfusion Institute is calling on citizens to demonstrate solidarity by donating blood to help patients in need. This annual event highlights the critical importance of voluntary blood donation in saving lives.

Donation opportunities will be available throughout the day. The Institute itself will accept donations from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Mobile blood donation buses will be stationed in New Belgrade, in front of the Imo Center, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Additionally, a donation point will be set up at the Pizza Festival in Luka Beograd from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Further outreach efforts will extend to other towns. Teams will be present in Koceljeva at the Red Cross from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. In Šabac, donations can be made at the House of Culture in Prnjavor from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

This year's campaign, under the slogan 'A drop of humanity saves a life. Donate blood,' places a strong emphasis on the human element and the profound impact of each donation. The Institute encourages widespread participation to ensure a sufficient blood supply for those requiring transfusions.
