Serbian fifth-tier club signs Champions League stars

A remarkable story is unfolding in Serbian lower-league football, where FK Kačer from Belanovica, competing in the Kolubara Municipal League, is making waves with an ambitious project. The club has signed several former professional footballers, including players with international experience, aiming to transform its future.

The club first announced the arrivals of Miloš Bosančić, Milan Lukač, and Jagoš Vuković. Bosančić, a former midfielder for top Serbian clubs like Partizan and Red Star Belgrade, has also taken on the role of club president, in addition to playing. He previously won the Czech league title with Slovan Liberec.

Goalkeeper Milan Lukač, who has played for clubs in Greece and Turkey and represented Serbia internationally, brings valuable experience. The defense will be bolstered by Jagoš Vuković, who boasts an impressive international career, having played for clubs such as PSV Eindhoven, Olympiacos, and Verona, and earned eight caps for Serbia.

The most surprising signing is Marko Dević, a former Ukrainian international known for his strong performances in Ukraine and Russia. Dević, who played for clubs like Metalist Kharkiv and Rubin Kazan, earned 35 caps for Ukraine. His move to a Serbian fifth-tier club is particularly noteworthy.

Beyond player acquisitions, Kačer plans significant infrastructure investments, starting with improving the club's currently poor pitch. These signings and planned upgrades signal a clear desire to establish a serious sporting project, attracting attention far beyond the amateur scene.
