Serbian high school students win three medals at International Chemistry Olympiad

Serbian high school students have achieved significant success at the 58th International Chemistry Olympiad, held in Uzbekistan. The Ministry of Education announced that the students brought home three medals, showcasing their exceptional talent and dedication to the field of chemistry.

In a highly competitive environment featuring 362 students from 92 nations, Andrej Drobnjaković, representing the Mathematical Gymnasium, clinched a silver medal. Joining him on the podium were Filip Kilibarda, also from the Mathematical Gymnasium, and Marko Branković from the "Bora Stanković" Gymnasium in Niš, who both earned bronze medals.

Further recognition was given to Irina Alimpijević from the Mathematical Gymnasium, who received a commendation for her outstanding performance. The achievements of these young scholars highlight Serbia's growing strength in science education and international academic competitions.

Minister of Education Dejan Vuk Stanković congratulated the students on their success, attributing it to their knowledge and hard work. He expressed his hopes that they would continue to achieve such accolades in the future, underscoring the importance of their accomplishments for the nation's academic standing.
