Serbian influencer proudly displays Draža Mihailović tattoo in Split

A Serbian influencer has sparked controversy by proudly displaying a tattoo of Draža Mihailović, a World War II Chetnik leader, while visiting Split, Croatia. Marko Stojković, who boasts 90,000 followers on Instagram, shared images of himself in the popular Croatian beach club area of Žnjan, featuring the controversial tattoo on his leg.

The presence of the tattoo has drawn significant attention, particularly given Croatia's historical context and past actions regarding symbols associated with Mihailović. In 2004, Croatian authorities denied entry to former Partizan basketball player Milan Gurović specifically because of a tattoo depicting Mihailović. At the time, the tattoo was deemed to incite nationalistic hatred and violence.

Despite the provocative nature of Stojković's display in a Croatian tourist destination, reports indicate that no one reported him to the authorities, and the police were not called. Stojković himself appeared unfazed, posting photos with friends and tagging the beach club, with one comment referring to them as "the strongest team."

Stojković's social media presence often highlights his lifestyle, featuring other tattoos and expensive jewelry. Photos showcase a "Made in Serbia" tattoo on his neck and a large, diamond-encrusted watch paired with gold-rimmed sunglasses, projecting an image of wealth.
