Serbian Minister exits Croatian company ownership after undeclared stake reports

Serbia's Minister of Energy, Dubravka Đedović Handanović, has officially ceased to be a co-owner of the Croatian company Kulturistria. The registration of this change was completed by the Court Registry of the Republic of Croatia on June 18, based on decisions made on June 17.

This development follows media reports last week indicating that the minister held an undeclared stake in the Croatian firm. According to the reports, Đedović Handanović submitted a new asset report on June 8, 2026, declaring a 35% ownership in Kulturistria d.o.o., with a nominal value of 101,340 euros. Croatian court records previously showed her as a co-owner since December 6, 2022, a detail absent from earlier declarations.

In response to the initial reports, the minister had stated that all her assets and ownership in legal entities, both in Serbia and abroad, were duly reported to the Anti-Corruption Agency. She also noted that the company had no business activities, employees, or profits, and its sole asset was land purchased before she took office.

Despite the minister's previous statements, the Agency for Prevention of Corruption has confirmed that it has launched an extraordinary review process. This review aims to verify the accuracy and completeness of the asset and income reports submitted by the Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka Đedović Handanović.
