Serbian minor arrested in Montenegro for alleged stabbing of 17-year-old

A 17-year-old Serbian national was arrested in Herceg Novi, Montenegro, on suspicion of attempting to murder another 17-year-old with a knife. The incident reportedly took place near the Forte Mare fortress.

Authorities received a report of a stabbing and dispatched emergency medical services to the scene. The injured party, a 17-year-old from Herceg Novi, was transported to Meljine General Hospital. Police immediately launched an investigation, cordoned off the area, and initiated a search for the perpetrator.

According to police, the altercation involved a physical fight between the victim and an unknown male. The suspect allegedly inflicted multiple stab wounds to the victim's abdomen before fleeing the scene.

During the search, police located and detained a 17-year-old suspect in the Savina neighborhood. A knife, showing traces consistent with blood, was found and confiscated from the individual.

Following preliminary investigations and in coordination with the state prosecutor's office, the suspect, identified as a Serbian citizen from Belgrade, was arrested on charges of attempted murder. He is expected to be transferred to the Higher State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica.
