Serbian parliament adopts revised 2026 budget

Serbia's parliament has adopted a revised state budget for 2026, increasing both planned revenues and spending as the government adjusts its financial plans for the year.

Projected revenues and receipts now total €21.54 billion, up €958 million, or 4.7%, from the original budget. Tax revenue is estimated at €17.97 billion, while non-tax revenue is expected to reach €3.26 billion. Donations make up the remaining 1.4% of projected income.

Planned expenditure and outlays have risen to €24.91 billion, an increase of €1.46 billion, or 6.23%. The government projects economic growth of 3.3% in 2026 and GDP of €95.3 billion.

The revised budget also provides one-off payments. Pensioners will receive between €170 and €299, depending on their monthly pension. Other eligible groups will receive either €213 or €85, while Serbian citizens without free-share entitlements can receive €51.
