Serbian party condemns office intrusion, demands investigation

The People's Movement of Serbia has strongly condemned the intrusion into the law office of Zdenko Tomanović, demanding an urgent, independent, and comprehensive investigation. Miloš Pavlović, the party's vice-president and a lawyer himself, stated that the incident should not be viewed in isolation but rather within the context of what he described as the long-term targeting of political opponents, independent institutions, media, and individuals who hold views contrary to the government's official policies. Pavlović argued that campaigns of discrediting, pressure, and public targeting create an environment where such incidents become possible. He stressed that the investigation should extend beyond identifying the immediate perpetrators to uncovering any potential masterminds behind the attack. Pavlović highlighted that the perpetrators reportedly focused on computer equipment and data storage devices, rather than material property, raising suspicions that the objective was to gain access to confidential information held by the law firm.
