Serbian police seize 30 kilograms of dried plant material suspected to be marijuana in Obrenovac

Serbian police seized about 30 kilograms of dried plant material suspected to be marijuana at an illegal dump in Barič, Obrenovac, the Interior Ministry said.

Interior Minister Ivica Dačić said officers found several packages of green dried material resembling marijuana. Investigators inspected the site and sent the material and other seized items for forensic analysis.

Police found several packages containing a total of 30 kilograms of green dried plant material resembling the narcotic drug marijuana.

Police are working with the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office to establish the circumstances and identify people connected to the suspected drugs. Dačić said the seizure formed part of efforts to suppress drug trafficking and disrupt distribution channels.
