Serhat Kılıç’s Co-Star Şoray Uzun Condemns Speculation: ‘Disrespectful to His Family and Memory’

Şoray Uzun came to Istanbul's Forensic Medicine Institute to say goodbye to his longtime co-star Serhat Mustafa Kılıç. Speaking to reporters after the autopsy, Uzun struggled to contain his emotion.

Uzun also objected to claims circulating on social media and in some reports after Kılıç's death. He said unconfirmed information should not be shared as though it were established fact. “Sharing this information would be disrespectful to Serhat's family and his memory. Presenting assumptions as fact is incompatible with any ethical standard. People should not share comments based on guesses so recklessly.”

The two actors worked together on Seksenler for around a decade. In a separate farewell message, Uzun recalled the years they spent together: “We spent 10 years of our lives together. We laughed, cried, fought, made up, stayed up until morning, talked through our troubles at length and sat in silence for a long time. We sang songs. Of course, you sang much better. Sometimes, while acting opposite you, I watched you and forgot my lines. Rest in peace.”

Kılıç was found motionless at his home in Istanbul's Kağıthane district after his girlfriend became unable to reach him. Medical teams confirmed his death.
