Serie A: Jones becomes third Englishman to join Inter this summer

Inter Milan has secured the services of Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, marking the third English player to join the Italian champions within weeks. Jones, 25, has committed to a deal with Inter that runs until 2031, following similar moves by compatriots Djed Spence and John Stones to the San Siro.

Jones, an academy product of Liverpool, expressed his emotions about departing his boyhood club after 16 years. "After 16 years, it’s time to say goodbye," he shared on Instagram. "I came here as a kid with a dream of playing for Liverpool and I’ve been lucky enough to actually live that dream. Liverpool will be a massive part of me."

Reports from Italian media suggest Inter will pay approximately 35 million euros ($40.8 million) for Jones. Right-back Spence and center-back Stones, whose contracts had expired, have also signed deals with Inter until 2031. Inter is set to commence their Serie A season against Monza on Saturday.
