Series of major cyberattacks sparks global unease

A series of major hacker attacks has sent ripples around the world over the past week.

Almost six terabytes of data from Berlin’s state administration have been posted on the part of the internet known as the dark web, which search engines do not routinely access. The published material includes highly sensitive personal information, Euronews reported.

The reports emerged alongside coverage of a spyware company facing a multibillion-dollar compensation claim, powerful spyware that could affect millions of iPhones, and an Apple update released ahead of schedule to stop AI attacks.
