Settler extremists destroy cars, leave three Palestinians slightly injured in West Bank attacks

Three Palestinians sustained minor injuries during an overnight attack by Israeli settler extremists on the West Bank village of Surif. The assailants also set fire to buildings and vehicles and spray-painted threatening graffiti on structures.

According to an Army Radio report, the extremists used clubs and tear gas against the villagers. IDF troops were dispatched to the scene to search for suspects and gather evidence. While burned vehicles and graffiti were found, no arrests have been reported in connection with the attack.

The Israel Police have also launched an investigation into the incident, with officers from the Judea and Samaria District collecting evidence and testimonies. This event occurs amidst heightened tensions and follows a similar violent extremist attack on Palestinians in Huwara in June, which resulted in injuries.

In response to the ongoing escalation of extremist settler violence and Palestinian attacks, the IDF recently deployed two additional battalions to the West Bank. Security officials had previously arrested an Israeli resident for alleged involvement in the June Huwara attack, where masked individuals reportedly assaulted Palestinians.
