Seven Palestinians arrested after Israeli assaulted in West Bank, police seize several weapons

Seven Palestinians were arrested on Saturday night after an alleged violent incident near the Moreno Farm close to Beitar Illit in the West Bank. Israeli police reported that the suspects are believed to have approached a group of Israelis and initiated a confrontation, during which one Israeli sustained minor injuries to his arm.

Following the arrests, Israeli security officials conducted a search of the scene. They discovered and seized assault weapons and incendiary materials that had been hidden in nearby bushes, securing them as evidence for the ongoing investigation. The detained individuals were taken for further questioning.

This incident follows a series of recent attacks that have heightened tensions in the region. The IDF had previously banned Palestinian workers from entering Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria due to a string of attacks against Israeli residents on Thursday and Friday. These attacks included a stabbing that seriously wounded a 51-year-old man, a stabbing where the assailant was killed by soldiers, and a terror shooting near Gilad Farm that resulted in two deaths, including an IDF officer, and several injuries.

On Saturday, two Israeli men, one an active-duty soldier, were injured in a separate violent incident at Susiya Junction near the Hebron Hills. In that event, a Palestinian man allegedly threw stones at them and stole a weapon.
