Seven teenagers charged with murder after Kelvin Grove assault victim dies

Seven teenagers are facing murder charges after a 27-year-old man died from injuries sustained during an assault and carjacking in Kelvin Grove, Australia. The group, aged between 14 and 17, allegedly attacked the man and stole his blue 2025 BYD Shark 6 on the night of July 24.

The victim was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with life-threatening injuries and passed away on August 6. The stolen vehicle was later found abandoned in Holland Park. The teenagers were initially charged with various offenses, including robbery, grievous bodily harm, and dangerous driving.

Following the man's death, the charges for seven of the teenagers were upgraded to murder. They are expected to appear in the Brisbane Children's Court. Police are actively seeking dash cam and CCTV footage from the Kelvin Grove and Holland Park areas around the time of the incident, as well as appealing for information from two potential witnesses driving in the vicinity.
