Sheinbaum awards Rita Cetina scholarship in Aguascalientes; delivers IMSS Hemodialysis Clinic

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum distributed the "Rita Cetina" scholarship, aimed at providing school supplies and uniforms for children across Mexico, during a visit to Aguascalientes. The scholarship, named after a prominent educator and feminist, underscores the administration's commitment to educational support.

Alongside the scholarship award, Sheinbaum, accompanied by Aguascalientes Governor Tere Jiménez, inaugurated a new hemodialysis clinic for the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS). This facility is expected to improve access to essential medical care for patients with kidney conditions in the region.

During her visit, Sheinbaum interacted with primary school students, even participating in a viral TikTok challenge. She also met with members of the National Union of Education Workers (CNTE) from Aguascalientes, who were on strike. They presented her with a petition demanding an end to "repressive measures" and the reinstatement of negotiation tables with dissident teachers.
