Sheinbaum thanks for birthday wishes, shares celebration with husband and pozole

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum expressed her gratitude for the birthday wishes she received on Wednesday, June 24, as she turned 64. She shared a personal moment from her celebration on social media, posting a picture with her husband, Jesús Tarriba.

In the image, the couple is seen enjoying a meal of pozole rojo, which Sheinbaum described as her favorite dish. "Thank you very much for all your messages. I share with you that today, my birthday, I am with my husband Jesús, enjoying a delicious red pozole, my favorite dish," she wrote on her social media accounts.

The President had already marked the occasion earlier in the day during her regular morning press conference at the National Palace. There, she was presented with a cake, and her collaborators and allied communicators sang "Las Mañanitas," a traditional Mexican birthday song.

During the press conference, Sheinbaum also mentioned that she had not yet decided where she would watch the upcoming soccer match between Mexico and Czechia.
