Shekhar Koirala vows to make sacrifices for party unity

Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala has pledged to make whatever sacrifices are necessary to keep his party united.

Koirala made the statement during a meeting with party President Gagan Thapa on Sunday. He said Nepal, its democracy and its national interests were facing difficult circumstances.

The message placed party unity at the center of his response to the current situation. Koirala made clear that he was ready to accept personal costs in the interests of holding the Nepali Congress together.
