Shen Po-yang Visits Temple in Zhongshan District to Discuss Business Revitalization, Accepts Home Visit Invitation

Shen Po-yang, a candidate for Taipei mayor from the Democratic Progressive Party, visited Xinan Temple in the Zhongshan District, accompanied by local councilors and candidates. The visit aimed to discuss strategies for revitalizing the area's business districts and to connect with the local community.

During a banquet hosted by the temple, Shen emphasized his commitment to economic development. He stated that if elected, he would focus on linking the various commercial areas to invigorate the overall economy and encourage talent to remain in Taipei. He drew parallels with the temple's role as a community hub, highlighting the importance of smooth operations in all aspects of city life, from transportation and infrastructure to the economy and business districts.

Shen also addressed the city's budget, suggesting that Taipei's substantial resources should be distributed more equitably across all districts. He argued that tax revenues, particularly from the tech industry, should be reinvested into local businesses, social welfare, and community support, similar to how Xinan Temple supports its residents. He urged citizens to support his candidacy and the DPP's councilor nominees, describing councilors as essential for gathering diverse opinions and representing local voices.

Beyond the temple, Shen actively engaged with residents. He accepted invitations to visit homes, including a heartwarming encounter with an elderly resident.
