Shengda Pharmaceutical donates third fire truck to Tainan, boosting rescue capabilities

Shengda Pharmaceutical has once again demonstrated its commitment to public safety by donating a pumper fire truck valued at NT$2.2 million to the Tainan City Fire Bureau. This marks the third such donation from the company, underscoring a sustained effort to bolster the city's disaster response infrastructure.

During the handover ceremony, Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che expressed his gratitude to Shengda Pharmaceutical Chairman Fan Tzu-ting. The mayor highlighted the city's increased investment in its fire department, noting a significant rise in the fire budget and the procurement of new fire trucks and advanced rescue equipment. He praised the collaboration between the public and private sectors in strengthening Tainan's safety measures.

Fire Bureau Chief Yang Tsung-lin detailed the bureau's ongoing efforts to improve its capabilities across various aspects, including equipment, personnel safety, and smart disaster prevention. He mentioned that the proportion of aging fire vehicles is expected to decrease significantly by next year, thanks to these upgrades. The new pumper fire truck is equipped with a high-pressure fine water mist system, a water tank, and a towing hook, designed for high mobility, efficient water use, and minimizing property damage during firefighting operations.

Shengda Pharmaceutical's consistent support extends beyond fire trucks. The company has previously donated ambulances and disaster reconnaissance vehicles, and even provided respiratory health supplements for firefighters. This latest donation reinforces their role as a socially responsible corporation dedicated to enhancing the well-being and safety of the Tainan community.
