Shepherd attacked by Palestinians in West Bank, gunshots fired at Israeli settlement

Two separate incidents in the West Bank over the weekend have heightened security concerns for residents. In the Psagot settlement, inhabitants heard gunshots and later discovered a bullet near a synagogue, prompting an investigation by local police, IDF soldiers, and officers.

Later the same day, a shepherd was assaulted by a group of about 30 masked Palestinians. Following the attack, the group reportedly engaged in rioting and erected several roadblocks in the vicinity, according to the Binyamin Regional Council.

The council emphasized that these attacks, including the gunfire at the settlement and the assault on the shepherd, are occurring with increasing frequency. They expressed concern that the focus on more extreme events overshadows the ongoing nature of what they term "Arab terrorism," leading to an incomplete understanding of the security situation in the Benjamin, Judea, and Samaria regions.
