Shinsegae Group Partners with OKO Group to Develop Aman Hotels

South Korean conglomerate Shinsegae Group is venturing into the global luxury hospitality sector by partnering with international developer OKO Group to develop the prestigious Aman hotel and resort brand. This strategic move signals Shinsegae Group Chairman Chung Yong-jin's ambition to leverage the company's expertise in complex development, honed through projects like Starfield, into the high-end global market.

The collaboration will see Shinsegae Property, the group's dedicated real estate development subsidiary, take the lead in this venture. A recent agreement was signed between Shinsegae Property and OKO Group at the Josun Palace Hotel in Seoul, formalizing the partnership.

This expansion into luxury hospitality marks a significant step for Shinsegae Group, aiming to establish a strong presence in the international market for premium hotels and resorts. The partnership with OKO Group, known for its global development experience, is expected to facilitate this expansion.
