Director Shu Pak-tak is experiencing the summer heat in Taipei in a way many can relate to: a broken air conditioner. The director, known for his work in film, took to Facebook to express his frustration over the difficulty of finding a repairman.

Shu humorously stated that finding an air conditioning technician in Taipei is more challenging than securing investment for a movie. He shared that a technician finally arrived to service his air conditioner at the noodle shop he owns. He hopes that after the repair and installation of a rolling shutter, his business will be booming.

Shu's post comes shortly after TV host Wang Yu-ching shared her own air conditioning woes. Wang, who hosts the talk show "Forward Taiwan," expressed her dilemma on social media. The main unit of her ducted air conditioner broke down, and the part is no longer in production. A technician offered to install a new unit without a warranty, leaving her unsure whether to proceed or buy a separate split system air conditioner.
