Šibenik conference connects Croatia’s music scene with an increasingly complex global industry

SHIP returns to Šibenik from September 10 to 13, bringing Croatia’s music scene and the wider region into contact with the international music industry.

The event combines a professional conference with a showcase festival. Musicians, producers, managers, booking agents, journalists, festival organizers, record-label representatives and other industry specialists can meet in one place. For young and still-unknown performers, that creates an opportunity to present their music to people who may influence their future careers. Established professionals can use the gathering to discover new artists and build international contacts.

SHIP also examines the changing realities of the music business, including new technologies, shifting trends and the evolving position of music. Panels offer professionals a chance to discuss those changes directly rather than simply follow them through coverage of concerts and industry news.

Šibenik itself is part of the festival’s appeal. Events will be held at St. Michael’s Fortress, the Arsen House of Art, Azimut club and Tunel, turning the coastal city into a festival space. The organizers’ central idea is to connect Croatian and regional music with the global industry, using Šibenik’s distinctive setting as the stage.
