Siemens CEO Frank Grunert to Lead European Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan

The European Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan (ECCT) has announced a significant leadership change, with Frank Grunert set to assume the role of Chairman.

Grunert, who currently serves as the President and CEO of Siemens Taiwan and holds the position of Vice Chairman at the ECCT, received unanimous support from the chamber's board for the top leadership role. His appointment will take effect on September 1.

He succeeds Tina Graves, who has recently left Taiwan to take on the position of President and General Manager for GSK Canada. Grunert's transition to Chairman will create a vacancy for the Vice Chairman position, which the ECCT board has filled by electing Joos Louwerier, the General Manager of Allianz Life Insurance Company of Taiwan, as the new Vice Chairman.

The ECCT stated that this personnel adjustment reflects the board's collective support for the new leadership team. The chamber affirmed its commitment to continuing its work in representing and promoting the interests of European businesses in Taiwan, fostering economic and investment exchanges between Taiwan and Europe, and maintaining constructive dialogue with government and industry partners.
