Singer Alişan praises state hospital after poor private clinic experience

Turkish singer Alişan has publicly lauded a state-run hospital after a negative experience at a private clinic in the resort town of Çeşme, İzmir. Alişan recounted how his son, Burak, fell ill with a high fever and sore throat, prompting a visit to the private hospital's emergency department.

According to Alişan, the family was made to wait for 45 minutes at the private facility. "They didn't even check his temperature!" he exclaimed on social media, expressing his frustration. Angered by the lack of attention, Alişan decided to leave the private clinic and took his son to the Çeşme Alper Çizgenakat State Hospital. There, he experienced a starkly different level of care. "It took them only 10 minutes to check his fever and examine him," Alişan shared, expressing his gratitude. "May God bless our state and our state hospitals... If there's an emergency in Çeşme, we have a magnificent state hospital."

This is not the first time the Çeşme Alper Çizgenakat State Hospital has received public praise. Actress Yağmur Atacan previously commended the hospital in 2015 for its attentive staff after she went there for a tetanus shot. Atacan remarked at the time, "We complain about bad things, let's also talk about good things. Everyone from the receptionist to the doctor and nurse was very attentive. I wonder what people are thinking when they go to a private hospital when this place exists."
