Singer Angie Releases Debut Album 'Sogni di Vetro' After 'Amici' Success

Emerging from the spotlight of the Italian talent show 'Amici', singer Angie is set to release her first full-length album, 'Sogni di Vetro' (Glass Dreams). The project, which she has dedicated a year and a half to, represents the culmination of her journey from Sardinia to Milan in pursuit of her musical aspirations.

Angie, born in 2001, has a history in music that predates 'Amici', including appearances on 'Ti lascio una canzone' and 'Sanremo Giovani'. Her participation in 'Amici' provided significant visibility, leading to the opportunity to finally release her debut album. Despite narrowly missing the finals, she secured the Radio Prize, a testament to her songwriting abilities.

I always thought about writing to get out what I had inside, without thinking from a record label perspective. Fortunately, I didn't have and haven't had pressure from the record company. They just told me to go my own way.

'Sogni di Vetro' features nine tracks that Angie describes as transparent and fragile, mirroring the album's title. She emphasizes her commitment to authenticity, stating that she struggles to write about topics she hasn't personally experienced. The album draws inspiration from American and British pop artists like Ariana Grande and Tate McRae, blending their influences with her own narrative style.

And if there is someone to thank, it is my parents: they made many sacrifices to allow me to live my dream. They are the reason why I could do all this.

Reflecting on her journey, Angie expresses gratitude towards her parents for their sacrifices. While she acknowledges the disappointment of not reaching the 'Amici' finale, she views her progress and the release of her album as a significant victory. She credits the support from her record label for allowing her creative freedom, encouraging her to follow her own path.
