Singer Fu Dongsheng recalls sparring with Sun Anzuo in high school, eyes boxing ring

Singer Fu Dongsheng is embarking on a new chapter in his career, transitioning from the adult entertainment industry to music and professional boxing. After a two-year hiatus, he is set to release a new album titled "The Road Home" and has adopted the persona of "Song Hero."

Fu Dongsheng has been dedicating himself to rigorous boxing training, preparing for a boxing tournament slated for the end of the year. He expressed his commitment to the sport, stating, "I signed up for the competition last year, and I've gained some recognition. I'll do anything for promotion."

His boxing record is impressive so far, with opponents typically being knocked out in the first round. Despite his background in martial arts, Fu Dongsheng acknowledges the distinct rules of boxing and is adapting his style, focusing on efficiency, rhythm, and scoring techniques.

Fu Dongsheng also has a past connection to Sun Anzuo, having been an instructor at the anime club at Jen-Neng Vocational High School. He remembers Sun Anzuo as a student who enjoyed playful interactions, including arm-wrestling challenges. "He always wanted to 'challenge' me to an arm wrestle when he saw me, but he always lost badly," Fu recalled with a laugh.

Looking ahead, Fu Dongsheng sees boxing as a platform to increase his visibility and is confident in his abilities, even suggesting he wouldn't lose if he were to face Sun Anzuo in the ring.
