For the past three years, Kim has been living as a "goose dad," a term for fathers who stay in Korea to work while their wives and children live abroad for education.

He described the difficulty of the situation, noting that despite Japan being a close country, the international travel procedures make each trip to see his family take at least half a day. Kim revealed he has visited Japan frequently, often delivering groceries like kimchi and Korean chili paste to his family in Saga, near Fukuoka, sometimes two to three times a month, likening himself to a delivery person.
