Sivasspor's Ordinary General Assembly Date Set Amidst Financial Woes

Sivasspor's ordinary general assembly has been set for June 13 at 6:00 PM, a date announced amidst the club's significant financial struggles. Club president Mecnun Odyakmaz acknowledged that potential investors are hesitant to come forward due to the club's substantial debt, which currently stands at 350 million Turkish lira.

Sivasspor is currently going through a difficult process and financial impossibilities. We all see this reality.

Odyakmaz stated that Sivasspor is navigating a difficult period marked by financial constraints, necessitating a complete restructuring. "Sivasspor needs a new structure. We are trying to free the team from some burdens. We want Sivasspor to be sustainable," he explained during a press conference. He assured that despite the stressful working conditions, a resolution would be reached.

The separation from İsmet Taşdemir was done in Sivasspor's interest. Sivasspor cannot afford these amounts right now. That is, Sivasspor needs a new structure. We are trying to free the team from some burdens. We want Sivasspor to be sustainable.

Reflecting the club's financial challenges, Sivasspor has parted ways with coach İsmet Taşdemir. Odyakmaz indicated that this decision was made in the club's best interest, as paying Taşdemir's salary was no longer feasible. The future of key striker Rey Manaj also remains uncertain, with Odyakmaz noting that the player, who also represents a significant cost, might depart the team.
