Skoda Kodiaq Facelift Spied: More Aggressive Styling and Potential Power Boost Expected

Skoda is gearing up to introduce a refreshed version of its popular seven-seater Kodiaq SUV, with the facelifted model anticipated to launch around 2027. Recent spy shots have provided an early glimpse of the updated vehicle, fueling speculation about its final appearance.

Renderings based on the spy images suggest significant styling tweaks, particularly at the front. The redesigned front bumper is expected to feature a larger lower air intake for a more aggressive stance. While the split headlight design is likely to remain, the daytime running light signature may be revised to offer a fresh look. The rear is expected to see more subtle changes, primarily involving updated LED taillight graphics and a modified rear bumper design.

Inside, the Kodiaq is expected to retain its current layout but will likely incorporate Skoda's latest infotainment system and updated interior trim materials. These enhancements aim to boost the vehicle's technological appeal and cabin refinement.

The current Kodiaq lineup offers a range of powertrains, including 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter TSI gasoline engines, a 2.0-liter TDI diesel, and a 1.5-liter plug-in hybrid. These options are expected to continue in the updated model. However, there is particular anticipation for the Kodiaq RS flagship, which might receive a newly developed turbocharged gasoline engine. This new unit could potentially deliver over 300 horsepower, a substantial increase from the current RS model's 265 horsepower.
