SMEs Development Authority opens Future Leaders Camp 2026 in Al Buraimi

The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Riyada) in Oman, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, has launched the "Future Leaders Camp 2026." This week-long program kicked off Sunday in Al Buraimi, aiming to cultivate entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinking among young students.

The camp is hosting 70 school students from grades 7, 8, and 9 at the Al Buraimi Centre for Sciences and Innovation. Its core objective is to equip students with fundamental knowledge and skills to transform their entrepreneurial ideas into tangible, real-world projects. The program features a diverse range of training and interactive activities designed to bridge theoretical learning with practical application.

Central to the camp's curriculum are five integrated training modules. These modules begin with idea generation and development, guiding students through the process of building prototypes, notably incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) applications. Participants will also learn to draft presentations for their envisioned projects and showcase them before a jury.

Riyada views the camp as a crucial component of its ongoing efforts to promote entrepreneurship and innovation among Oman's youth. By honing these skills, the authority aims to prepare students to effectively contribute to a knowledge-based future and a diversified national economy.
