Smiley returns to Big Little Festival as artist and father: 'For us, the festival is a tradition'

Smiley, a beloved Romanian artist, is set to return to the third edition of the Big Little Festival, appearing not only as a performer but also as a dedicated father. Known for his energetic stage presence and distinctive voice, Smiley is a staple at the festival, which is specifically curated for family experiences, offering a wide array of activities, relaxation zones, and food options.

The festival culminates on the Main Stage, where Smiley and other top artists perform alongside children from the audience. Beyond the stage, Smiley embraces his role as a devoted father, cherishing time with his daughter amidst his busy schedule. He described the festival as a family tradition, now in its third year.

"For us, Big Little Festival is already a tradition. We've been coming for three years with the family to enjoy this experience," Smiley shared. "During the day, I'm a full-time dad – we play, discover, laugh – and in the evening, I take the stage with the same joy and sing alongside the families in front of the stage."

Spread across 12 hectares at Palatul Mogoșoaia, the festival offers numerous activities for all ages. Smiley noted the challenge of choosing among them, as his daughter might want to play while he seeks relaxation, or someone might be hungry. He also mentioned participating in activities with his colleagues from HaHaHa Production, where attendees can sing and record their favorite choruses. This year, he will share the stage with three lucky families who will serve as his backing vocalists, a tradition he enjoys that places adults and children on equal footing with shared energy and enjoyment of time together.
