Soca Singer Anton Wilcox and Avionne Mark Celebrate Nuptials with Second Wedding

Soca singer Anton "Amptone" Wilcox and former Miss Universe T&T Avionne Mark recently celebrated their union with a second, more elaborate wedding ceremony at All Saints Anglican Church in Port of Spain. This followed an intimate ceremony last November, marking a significant milestone for the couple who first met on the set of Wilcox's music video "Wicked" in 2022.

People ask if the second wedding feels different, and the truth is it really does. The first time we got married, it was about our promise to each other. The second time, it was about the celebration of that promise. We had already experienced what it meant to choose each other every day, and now, being surrounded by everyone we love, it felt like a beautiful reminder of how far we’ve come since 2022.

The recent celebration saw 135 guests gather for a lavish reception at Mille Fleurs, adhering to a strict black-only dress code. Avionne Mark explained the decision for two ceremonies, citing the importance of family, especially after both had lost a parent. The initial intimate wedding focused on their personal promise to each other, while the larger celebration was designed to bring extended family and close friends together.

Mark shared her feelings about marrying Wilcox twice, noting that the second wedding felt different yet equally joyous. "The first time we got married, it was about our promise to each other. The second time, it was about the celebration of that promise," she stated. She described it as reliving the joy of their initial commitment while creating new memories surrounded by loved ones.

Marrying Anton once was one of the happiest days of my life. Getting to marry him again, in this way, feels like reliving that joy while creating an entirely new chapter of memories together.

The couple's first dance was a highlight, choreographed by Wilcox himself, inspired by an online dance coach. Mark recalled practicing the routine nightly in their living room, calling it an "amazing moment and memory." She attributed her desire to marry Anton to his consistent kindness, patience, dependability, and the sense of peace and certainty he brought into her life, making her feel safe, loved, and appreciated daily.
