Sofia Sadok Honors Tunisian Women at Hammamet Festival Finale

The 60th Hammamet International Festival drew to a close on August 13, 2026, after a month-long celebration of arts that featured 32 diverse performances, many of which played to sold-out crowds. The festival culminated with a memorable concert by Tunisian singer Sofia Sadok, an event that coincided with the nation's National Woman's Day, creating a double celebration.

Sofia Sadok captivated the Hammamet audience, filling the open-air theater. Festival-goers enthusiastically sang along to her most famous songs, including "La Ma Narjaechi," "Mel Ghorba Mallina," and "Ya Lil," responding with prolonged applause and dancing to her melodies. Her performance was described as festive, cheerful, and joyful, embodying a tribute to Tunisian women and the festival itself.

Sadok's concert offered a rich musical journey. Beyond her own popular songs like "Ya Lalen," "3amel Fi Li Nheb," "Dadal," and "Rani Hourt Maak," she also led the audience through a medley of classic Tunisian music by Saliha. She further transported them with a selection of Oriental Tarab, inspired by the legendary Oum Kalthoum, before returning to Hammamet's own musical heritage.
