In a series of decisive operations conducted over the last 48 hours, troops of Operation ENDURING PEACE have successfully foiled multiple kidnapping attempts, rescued several victims, and launched aggressive manhunts for fleeing criminal elements across Plateau and Kaduna states.

In one incident, troops in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State responded to reports of suspected kidnappers blocking the highway along the Hawan Kibo–Rafin Sayin axis. Upon arrival, they discovered an abandoned ash-colored Honda vehicle. A thorough search of the surrounding bushes led to the rescue of six kidnapped passengers who were traveling from Lafia, Nasarawa State, to Jos. The driver of the vehicle remains missing, and search efforts are continuing.

In another operation, troops in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State responded to a distress call from Faggem Village. The troops pursued the suspects and rescued a pastor and his wife, who had sustained injuries during the initial assault. The couple was evacuated to Bokkos Medical Clinic for treatment, and a manhunt for the perpetrators is underway.
