Solo Chamber of Commerce Chair Admits Giving Rp125 Million to Former Pati Regent Sudewo

Ferry Septha Indrianto, chairman of the Surakarta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, testified in the Semarang Corruption Court that he handed over Rp125 million to former Pati Regent Sudewo via an intermediary.

I handed over Rp125 million through Nur Widayat. He claimed to be Mr. Sudewo's man.

Indrianto, who is also the Director of PT Indria Putra Persada, told the court that businessman Nur Widayat, who claimed to be Sudewo's confidant, received the money. The payment originated from a request by Dheky Martin, the Project Implementing Official for the Solo-Semarang Double Track Railway (JGSS) 1 project.

PT Indria Putra Persada won the Rp22 billion JGSS 1 tender. Indrianto explained that the Rp125 million came from the project's profit margin. He initially believed the payment was related to Sudewo's support as a member of the House of Representatives' Commission V, given his proximity to the project site and potential assistance with land acquisition.

Mr. Dheky conveyed that someone would meet me, Mr. Sudewo's man. I was asked to give a sum of money, the amount was left to me.

However, Indrianto could not confirm if Sudewo actually received the money, as he never met the former legislator directly. Sudewo is accused of accepting around Rp3.8 billion in bribes and gratuities from various projects within the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA). He also faces charges for allegedly receiving Rp2.4 billion related to village official appointments in Pati Regency between 2025 and 2026.

I thought Mr. Sudewo, as a member of parliament whose residence was close to the project site, would certainly help with land acquisition.
