The governor expressed gratitude for the Federal Ministry of Works' directive to commence the reconstruction and dualization of the Otuocha-Anam-Abaji road, a significant 108-kilometer stretch connecting Anambra to Kogi State.

This project is anticipated to substantially decrease travel duration between Anambra and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, as well as other northern regions of Nigeria. Governor Soludo also lauded the approval for the dualization of the 150-kilometer Oba-Nnewi-Uga-Ihube (Okigwe Junction) road. This vital artery links Anambra with Imo, Enugu, and Abia States, serving as a critical corridor for the Southeast zone.

In a social media post, Governor Soludo stated, "History will be kind to you. Thank you." He elaborated on his recent engagement with the President, noting that he had personally advocated for enhanced infrastructure in Anambra State and the broader Southeast region during a meeting on July 1. The following day, the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, contacted Soludo for specific details on the roads, which were promptly provided.

By July 15, Soludo received confirmation that President Tinubu had approved both road projects.
