Son Sebastian takes over from Tanel Leok in motocross

Estonian motocross legend Tanel Leok, 41, is unique in the sport for holding the record for the most participations in the prestigious Motocross of Nations. This year marks a significant generational handover as his 18-year-old son, Sebastian Leok, prepares to make his debut for the Estonian national team, effectively taking the reins from his father.

Tanel Leok's own journey in the Motocross of Nations began at a young age. He first competed in the event in 2001, at just 16 years old. Over the years, he amassed an impressive 22 participations, setting an all-time record. His last appearance for Estonia was in 2024, and he served as a coach in the previous year's event.
