South Korean singer Song Ga-in has offered words of comfort and encouragement to citizens gathered in Gwanghwamun, Seoul. Her message, inspired by the lyrics of her new song "What if I'm not a flower?", conveys a sentiment of resilience and perseverance. "As the lyrics say, 'What if I'm not a flower, it's just blooming and falling. Being tough isn't a sin, you've lived that much,' I hope we can all cheer up and live today with more strength," Song said.

This initiative is part of the 'Simple Mailbox Customer Participation Campaign,' a collaborative effort by Dong-A Ilbo and LG Uplus. The campaign aims to transform Gwanghwamun into a space for communication and healing. Starting August 3rd, various artists will be sharing supportive messages throughout August, offering warmth and solace to the public.

Song Ga-in's participation stems from her empathy with the campaign's goals. Her genuine message is intended to provide a moment of respite for citizens weary from the summer heat and the demands of daily life. The messages, selected from those submitted by artists and the public, are displayed three times daily on 'LUUX,' a digital signage screen on the Dong-A Ilbo building in Gwanghwamun.

The 'Simple Mailbox' service, powered by LG Uplus's AI technology, allows anyone, regardless of their telecommunications provider, to leave messages of support by calling 1811-1110. These messages are then broadcast on 'LUUX.' The campaign, which began on August 6th, will run for three months, aiming to spread positivity and connection in the heart of Seoul.
