Song Seong-moon Enters as Late Defensive Replacement in Padres' 5-0 Win

Korean infielder Song Seong-moon made a brief appearance as a defensive substitute for the San Diego Padres in their 5-0 victory over the Cleveland Guardians. The game took place on the 17th (Korean time) at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.

Song Seong-moon, who was not in the starting lineup, entered the game in the bottom of the eighth inning. He replaced Luis Rengifo at third base, strengthening the Padres' defense as they closed in on the win. However, Song Seong-moon did not get an opportunity to bat during the ninth inning when the Padres' offense was active.

Additional solo home runs from Jake Bowen in the eighth and Jake Cronenworth in the ninth inning sealed the 5-0 shutout.
