Soongsil University Obtains 2026 University Institutional Accreditation

Soongsil University has achieved accreditation in the '2026 University Institutional Accreditation' program, administered by the Korean Council for University Education's Korean Institute for University Assessment and Accreditation. This recognition confirms the university's commitment to maintaining high standards in its educational offerings and overall operations.

The accreditation process is based on Article 11-2 of the Higher Education Act and involves a comprehensive evaluation of a university's educational conditions and management. This particular assessment marks the first year of the fourth cycle of institutional accreditation, which will run from 2026 to 2030. Soongsil University successfully met the criteria across all four evaluation domains.

These domains include university management and social responsibility, curriculum and teaching, faculty and staff, and student support and facilities. The evaluation employed both quantitative and qualitative assessments to comprehensively gauge the university's unique characteristics and conditions. By satisfying all requirements, Soongsil University has secured its accredited status.

The accreditation is effective from July 1, 2026, and will remain valid until February 29, 2032. This period ensures that the university will continue to operate under recognized standards for higher education quality over the next six years.
