South Korea: '2026 Cheongchun Yanggu Middle School Football Festival' kicks off with strong participation

The '2026 Cheongchun Yanggu Middle School 1st Year Football Festival' has officially commenced, marking a significant event for young athletes in South Korea. The festival, designed to enhance the playing abilities and provide opportunities for first-year middle school students, kicked off on June 13th and will continue for four days until June 16th.

This year's festival has attracted a considerable number of participants, with 31 teams from various regions across the country converging in Yanggu. These teams have been organized into eight groups, each comprising four teams, who will compete across multiple venues including the Gucham-ri Football Field and Yanggu Fields B and C.

The tournament is set to showcase the developing talents of these young footballers, offering them a platform to gain valuable match experience and foster a competitive spirit. The festival's success is anticipated to contribute to the growth of youth football in South Korea.
