South Korea Announces Government Personnel Appointments and Promotions

Several South Korean government ministries and agencies have announced a series of personnel appointments and promotions, reflecting ongoing administrative changes. The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission has seen promotions to the vice-director level, with Kim Kwang-seok appointed as head of the Planning and Finance Division, Jung Yoon-jeong as head of the Corruption Investigation Division, and Yoon Young-guk as head of the Civil Complaints Planning Division.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has made several director-level appointments. Kim Jong-oh has been transferred to the Public Housing Site Support Division, Lee Sang-ok to the Road Investment Division, Kim Kyung-eun to the New City Maintenance Planning Division, Park Hyo-cheol to the New City Maintenance Support Division, and Kim Kyung-heon to the Local Development Committee's Regional Pledge Support Division.

In the realm of economic development, the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME) has announced significant promotions and appointments. Choi Jun-young has been promoted to Grade 1 and appointed as head of the Strategy and Performance Management Office. Other Grade 1 promotions include Jung Byung-ok (Corporate Evaluation and Data Office), Cho Yang-dong (Corporate Finance Department), Cho Su-jeong (Loan Management Office), and Kim Soo-young (Manufacturing AI Support Office). Several individuals have also been promoted to Grade 2 and Grade 3, and new department heads have been appointed across various divisions, including the Management Support Office, Fund Management Office, ICT Operation Office, and regional branches.
