South Korea Announces National Volleyball Rosters for Evaluation Matches

The Korea Volleyball Federation has revealed the final rosters for the national men's and women's volleyball teams participating in the "2026 Jecheon" evaluation matches. The event is scheduled to take place from May 22 to 26 at the Jecheon Stadium in North Chungcheong Province.

These evaluation matches are a critical step for both teams as they fine-tune their performance ahead of significant upcoming competitions. These include the East Asian Championship, the Asian Championship, and the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. The matches provide a vital opportunity for coaches to assess player readiness and team dynamics.

The men's national team will engage in a series of three matches against the formidable Brazilian national team. Key players selected for the men's squad include setter Han Tae-jun (Ucard), outside hitters Jeong Han-yong ( 대한항공) and Im Seong-jin (National Defense Sports Corps), opposite spiker Shin Ho-jin (Hyundai Capital), and Im Dong-hyuk ( 대한항공).

The women's national team will also play three matches, facing the Indonesian national team, which has shown recent strong form. The women's roster features core players such as setter Kim Da-in (Hyundai Engineering & Construction), libero Kim Hyo-im (GS Caltex), outside hitter Kang So-hwi (Korea Expressway Corporation), and middle blocker Jeong Ho-young (Heungkuk Life Insurance).

Following their success in reaching the AVC Cup final, the men's team aims to showcase a more polished performance. The women's team, fresh off their AVC Cup victory, is focused on enhancing their international competitiveness. The evaluation matches will conclude with the final rosters for the East Asian and Asian Championships being confirmed.
